The Details
As an intern for Alison Joleen Photography, you will have the opportunity to join me at sessions, take behind the scenes videos, curate social media content, and develop your business!
This internship is perfect for a photographer looking to expand their skills OR someone interested in marketing/communications/social media who is wanting to add more experience to their resume! I have had marketing, communications, videography, and photography interns that have all brought so much to the Alison Joleen Photography senior experience! So non-photographers, don't be deterred from applying! I want to hear from you as to what YOU can bring to Alison Joleen Photography!

The Requirements
- Must be willing to travel to sessions in the Minneapolis area and surrounding suburbs. Most of my sessions are in the western suburbs, such as Minnetonka, Wayzata, and Plymouth. But I also travel as far west as Watertown (where my parents' farm is) and South East suburbs like Eagan!
- Must have a drivers license and have a reliable mode of transportation. In addition to driving to sessions, you may drive to different locations during a single session!
- Must have an iPhone with a good quality camera to capture behind the scenes videos
- Must have considerable knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram and Tiktok and be able to create meaningful and impactful posts that represent Alison Joleen Photography
- Must be willing to do assistive work such as but not limited to carrying items, setting up the changing tent, moving things, etc.
- Must be a people person! More than anything, it is your job to connect with my clients and make them feel comfortable during the session

Preferences
- If you are wanting to grow your photography skills and business, it is preferred that you own your own DSLR or mirrorless camera. But, still apply if you don't! I am willing to lend you one of my cameras for shoots which you are attending with me.
- I would love my intern to attend as many of my seniors sessions as possible, which take place morning and evening, Monday-Wednesday, June-September. But I can be flexible to work around your schedule when it comes to other jobs and commitments. Especially if that other job is photography!
- My intern will also have the option to attend other sessions, outside of seniors, if they are interested.

Terms
- If you are a photographer planning to post images taken during one of my sessions, you must wait until after I have posted previews or sent out the complete gallery to do so. You also cannot tag the client in your post or send them your images. And remember that you must attribute Alison Joleen Photography in all of your posts containing photos taken during one of my sessions!
- While attending my sessions my intern must remember that they are an extension of Alison Joleen Photography. This means that they cannot promote or solicit business for themselves. BUT I encourage my interns to grow their own business OUTSIDE of the confines of the internship.
- On a similar note, as an extension of Alison Joleen Photography, my intern must understand that their words and actions are a reflection of my business. It is extremely important that my intern reflects and ENHANCES the fun, inclusive, and safe environment I try to create for my clients!

The Application
I recommend answering the questions in a separate document and copy and pasting your answers into the application. The application will NOT save unfinished answers and this way you will avoid losing your work!
